Journalist, Content Creator and Videographer
Hi, I am Nelson Walker, a journalist, content creator and videographer. I was most recently the News Desk Video intern at CNN in London between March and September 2025. I am a Gold Standard NCTJ qualified journalist with 100 words-per-minute shorthand. I graduated from my Journalism Studies with Study Abroad degree at The University of Sheffield in 2024 with a 2:1 grade.
I love broadcast and multimedia journalism, and have strong interests in geography, languages, travel and documentaries. I particularly love human-interest, climate and environmental stories.
I have done placements with Sky News in London, ITV Calendar in Leeds, Deadline Digital in Barnsley and The Star in Sheffield. I have my own YouTube channel called GeogLangJourno where I bring together my passions for geography, languages, journalism and travel. I am looking to build on my early career experience in broadcast and multimedia journalism. You can check out a range of my work down below.
